CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
The Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC)
will hold its annual meeting March 15-17, 2004, at the Ritz-Carlton Marina
del Rey Hotel in Los Angeles, California.
CENIC is a not-for-profit corporation serving California Institute of
Technology, California State University, Stanford University, University of
California, University of Southern California, California Community
Colleges and the statewide K-12 school system. CENIC's mission is to
facilitate and coordinate the development, deployment and operation of a
set of robust multi-tiered advanced network services for this research and
education community.

CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
The CENIC 2004 Program Committee is seeking presentations, demonstrations
and tutorials in a broad variety of areas that demonstrate how the network
has or will enhance instruction, research, or economic development. These
presentations are intended to stimulate the use of these applications to
the benefit of others or as a catalyst for even further innovative
thinking. Conference sessions will cover technology and infrastructure,
teaching and learning, trends and/or future developments in optical network
technology and related applications.
Former topics have included optical networking, TeraGrid computing, network
security, implementing IPv6, end-to-end connectivity, quality of service,
last mile solutions, wireless technology, collaborative music, and
collaborative medicine. Studies presented may be works in progress.
Presentation/Demonstrations: Selected researchers and educators will
present short (20-minute) summaries of their work in a panel discussion
format for presentations and demonstrations.
Tutorial: Tutorials should be no longer than three hours.
Applications from all levels of education, government and industry are
encouraged.
HOW TO SUBMIT
Submit a detailed abstract or outline describing the presentation,
demonstration, or tutorial in email to

exceed 500 words. The submission should include:

The deadline for submissions is December 12, 2003 at 5 pm PDT. Submissions
will be reviewed by the CENIC 2004 Program Committee, and presenters will
be notified of acceptance by January 2, 2003. Final drafts of presentation
slides are due by February 15, 2004 and final versions March 5, 2004.
