CENIC 2005: Pathways to Discovery
March 7-9, 2005

The Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC)
will hold its annual meeting March 7-9, 2005, at the Ritz-Carlton Marina
del Rey Hotel.

The CENIC 2005 Program Committee is seeking presentations, demonstrations,
and panels focused on applications and research in support of the
conference theme - Pathways to Discovery.
Sessions would cover technology and infrastructure, teaching and learning,
application development and use, trends and/or future developments in
network technology and related applications.
Former topics have included optical networking, TeraGrid computing, network
security, implementing IPv6, end-to-end connectivity, quality of service,
last mile solutions, wireless technology, collaborative music, and
collaborative medicine. Studies presented may be works in progress.
Applications linking education and government or industry are encouraged.

How to Present
**************
Submit a detailed abstract or outline in email to cenic2005 at lists.cenic.org
describing the presentation or demonstration. Please include the following
information:
Description of the topic
Short biography of all presenters
Estimated time for presentation
Any presentation requirements, including network requirements
The deadline for proposals is October 29, 2004.
Submissions will be reviewed by the CENIC 2005 Program and Technical
Committee. Presenters will be notified of acceptance by November 15, 2004.
To help with session scheduling, selected presenters may be asked for an
interim set of slides in January. Final presentation slides are due by
March 1 2005, about a week BEFORE the conference starts.
General conference registration will open on November 8, 2004. Reminders
will be sent when registration opens.
