If anyone is interested in participating in 'regular' measurements - please let me know. Others can run on-demand tests any time they like - details to follow on some scinet.sc06.org web-page to be named later. ;) If you are interested, I will need hostname/IP information from you. (Also let me know if there are constraints on how often you are willing to let me test. I plan on only doing TCP tests.) I'll set up an 'ami' config file and then give out hacked bundles of the ami code and config files for everyone once I test the config on my hosts. I'll also of course need you to install the latest versions of bwctl/iperf and/or owamp. (I'll also let you know what IP numbers the tests will be coming from so you can just 'allow' them via IP/netmask in the {bwctld, owampd}.limits file - I don't want to mess with AES keys for this... I can of course help generate configs.) I'll be setting it up to send the data to a database in Ann Arbor. There will be scinet.sc06.org web-pages setup to display the results. (Also to be named later. ;) ) Thanks, jeff (I really should have sent this a week or two ago... sorry. Hopefully I still have some takers.)
